25 sunny snaps from the stunning south coast of England.
WORDS & PICTURES BY CHRIS ROWLANDS
Travel photography often offers up images of far-flung fantasies: tropical oceans glistening in pastel-shade sunsets straight out of Hollywood; stalls of Asian markets draped with sublime silks drenched in saturated colour; and the appealingly peeling paint of turquoise shutters in Buenos Aires.
It pays to remember, though, the locations less exotic, but just as beautiful in their own right. Take Dorset, pictured here: home to a stretch of coastline rightly recognised as one the world’s most incredible – and important. It might take just the right weather conditions to make its ragged, jagged rocks travel magazine-worthy, but there’s no doubt that, for lovers of stunning natural scenery (in any and every weather), it’s up there with the best.
